Ostrowskia magnifica

A really rare plant from Pamiro-Alay (mountain ranges of Tajikistan to Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan and the Pamir Mts.) . It bears spectacular huge, pale blue flowers, up to 12 cm across, on 50 - 120 cm high stems above a big, swollen root. Growable in larger pots in bulb conditions like Juno or Oncocyclus Irises - Outside only in a mineral rich sand bed with rain protection in summer and wintertime. PH 6 - 7 / Goc 1b + 4a / hs
